A visual and manual oral cancer screening is performed by your dentist or hygienist at every appointment.

ORAL CDX

Oral CDx test is a simple swab test that we use on lesions in your mouth to determine if there are potentially dangerous (precancerous or cancerous) cells present.  Oral CDx test does not require anesthesia or numbing and causes minimal to no bleeding or discomfort.  After a special computer-assisted analysis, the laboratory informs our office whether the tissue from your lesion contains abnormal cells.  With early detection through regular dental checkups, oral cancer is completely curable.
